Kim Jaejoong has already promptly debuted as an actor in Japan through this drama, and will be moving through into Korean dramas. The upcoming drama in August, “Protect the Boss”, Jaejoong will be playing the role fo Ji Sung’s cousin Cha Mu Won.
Kim Jaejoong who has been reborn as an actor, we met with him on July 12th at OhmyNews office. Kim Jaejoong appeared as to have forgotten his debut as a singer eight years ago, and was alive as a new actor. “No matter what it’s absolutely core business, and rather than acting singing is easier,” he said, and further continued our conversation.
The movie “Postman to Heaven” which was released in 2009 also cast Kim Jaejoong for the lead role but besides “Sunao Ni Narenakute” fans were anxious to see more of the acting figure of Jaejoong. Why has his debut in Korean dramas taken this long?
“Before when I thought about the challenge of acting, due to circumstances of JYJ”s activities, the timing was unfortunate. Now I’ve finally gotten here.” Other than “Sunao Ni Narenakute”, I feel that I wasn’t as nervous as I am now about being cast in a Korean drama. It’s been over a year now, so the feeling of acting and everything else all feels new again. It feels like this is the first time doing this, which is quite nervewracking.”

Kim Jaejung que ha renacido como un actor, nos reunimos con el el 12 de Julio en las oficinas de OhmyNews. Antes cuando pensaba en el desafio de actuar, debido a las circunstancias de las actividades de JYJ el tiempo era inafortunado. Ahora finalmente he conseguido estar aqui "Otro de Sunao Ni Narenakute" Siento que no estaba tan nervioso como estoy ahora sobre estar en el elenco de un drama coreano. Ha sido mas de un año, el sentimiento de actuar y todo lo demas todo se siente de nuevo. Siento que esta es la primera vez haiendo esto, que es bastante deseseperante los nervios.

SBS drama “Protect the Boss” which is scheduled to air on August 3rd will have Kim Jaejoong who has assumed the role of Cha Mu Won, the prince of the business community. On July 12th, he met with me at the OhmyNews office where we had an interview to which Jaejoong participated with deep thoughts.

1. What do you consider easier between singing and acting?
JJ: (laugh) Of course it would have to be singing. Singing is my main occupation, acting is much more difficult.
1. ¿Que consideras mas facil entre cantar y actuar?
JJ. (rie) Por supuesto tendrá que estar cantando. Cantar es mi mayor ocupaciñon, actuar es mas dificil.
2. In regards to methods between Korean and Japanese dramas, are there any big differences?
JJ: There are slight differences in terms of the production system. But as we have only had one shooting so far, I still don’t know it well yet. Because this is my first Korean drama right. Maybe because it depends on the style of the PD, it’ll most probably be quite different.
2. En lo que respecta a los métodos entre los dramas Coreanos y Japoneses, ¿hay alguna gran diferencia?
JJ. Hay pequeñas diferencias en tiempos del sistema de la produccion. Pero como solo hemos tendio una filmación hasta el momento, todavia no conozco bien. Pero en realidad este es mi primer drama coreano. tal vez pero depende del estilo de la producción, muy porbablemente sera diferente.
3. Your fellow member Yoochun has been cast in the MBC drama “Miss Ripley”. As a senior in acting, has he given you any advice in acting?
JJ: “The hardships start from here” he said. (laugh). It’s been said that when you enter this environment of acting it becomes quite tiring, and since this is just the beginning I have to manage the keep up my stamina.”
3.Tu compañero Yucheon sta actuando en el drama "Miss Ripley" de la MBC. Como un mayor en actuación esta dandote algun consejo en actuación?
JJ. "Las dificultades comienzan aqui" el dice (rie). Ha dicho que cuando entras a este ambiente de actuación se hace muy cansado, y dond este es solo el comienzo, tengo que mantener manejar mi energia.
4. Cha Mu Won’s title in the drama is “director”. Yoochun’s title in “Miss Ripley” is also the same. What is the difference between these characters?
JJ: Before comparing these two characters, the genre of these two dramas is different itself. Yoochun’s drama is a more on the serious side, whereas this drama will be more of a romantic comedy. The atmosphere of the two dramas are quite different so although the title of our characters are the same, I don’t think we will be seeing the same personalities in these two characters.
4. El titulo de Cha Mu Won en el drama es "director". El tiitulo de Yucheon en el drma es el mismo ¿Cual es la diferencia entre estos personajes?
JJ. Antes de comparar estos dos personajes, el genero de estos dos dramas es diferente. El drma de Yucheon es mas en el lado serio, mientras este drama es mas una comedia romantica. La atmosfera de los dos dramas es bastante diferente asi que aunque el titulo de los personajes es el mismo. No creo que veamos la misma personalidad en los dos personajes.
5. Then are there any similarities between the “prince of business” Cha Mu Won and the real Kim Jaejoong?
JJ: In terms of the variety in personality, I think this will be similar. I’m not saying that I am a “multi”(T/N: someone with various personalities) (laugh). But when I’m with my members, with my fans, or with people I am seeing for the first time, my behavior and expressions are different. This change in my behavior is certain, and I think it is something that will be in common with Cha Mu Won.
5. Entonces hay alguna similitud entre el "principe de los negocios" Cha Mu Won y el real Kim Jaejung?
JJ. En terminos de la variación en la personalidad, creo q es similar. No estoy diciendo que sea un "multi" (T/N alguien con varias personalidades) (rie). Pero cuando estoy con mis miembros, con mis fans o con personas que estoy viendo por primera vez, mi comportamiento y expresiones son diferentes. Este cambio en mi comportamiento es cierto, y pienso esto esta en ncomun con Cha Mu Won
6. The title of this drama is “Protect the Boss”, isn’t it? What is something that you want to protect in your life no matter what?
JJ: Hmm there are many things. Where should I start. For one, I want to protect the relationships between my members, and I also want to protect my fans. Also, with the challenges in the tasks that I hope to overcome in the future will not lose the hope that is born from within them. Rather than feeling satisfaction, experiencing anxiety from now on will be much better. Tension is good. I felt this while I was directing JYJ’s world tour concerts and directing performances in Asia (rhythmic gymnastics) with Son Yeon Jae’s gala show. Rather than creating work for myself, it is easier in a variety of ways just appear in activities, but I would like to create challenging myself until the end.
6. El titulo de este drama es "Protect the Boss" ¿No es asi? ¿Que es lo que deseas proteger en tu vida, no importando que?
JJ. Hmm hay muhas cosas. Donde debo comenzar. por uno, yo deseo proteger la relación entre mis miembros, y tambien deseo proteger a mis fans. Tambien, con los cambiose en las tareas a superar en el futuro si no pierdo la esperanza que esta naciendo dentro de ellos. Mas bien que sintiendo satisfacción, experimentando ansiedad por ahora en ser mejor. La tension es buena, Me parecio que al mismo tiempo estba dirigiendo el World Tour de JYJ y dirigiendo las presentaciones en Asia (gimnastas ritmicas) con Son Yeon Jae gala. Kim Jaejoong is taking his first steps forward as an actor. When asked whether he had a desire for a rookie award he said, “Whew, haven’t even thought about it.” And added, “Well it’s my first time ever so I’m jus going to try my best!”

7. The issues that come into conflict not just in dramas but in real life are also “love and success”. What comes first for Jaejoong?
JJ: Love and success…I think it’s something that is proportionate according to age. People might say that I have succeeded, but in fact, I don’t think there is an end to success. I don’t think there is such thing as fulfillment (T/N:or satisfaction, like achieving enough) Until I marry, I want to do as many things as I possibly can.
7. Los temas que entran en conflicto no solo en dramas pero en la vida real tambien "amor y celos" ¿Que es lo primero para Jaejung?
JJ. Amor y celos... pienso que es algo que esta proporcionalmente acordado a la edad. Las personas podrian decir que tienen exito, en en realidad, no pienso que hay unfial para el exito. Yo no creo que haya tal cosa como el cumplimiento, hasta que me case, quiero hacer tantas cosas como me sea posible.
8. Are you someone who was thinking of marrying early?
JJ: Even this year I’ve been thinking that I want to marry early. Because my parents are getting older, I feel that if I don’t get married early I am being ungrateful to my parents. But my sisters have told me that my life is important. Anyway, marriage is not something that’ll happen just because I wish it.
8- ¿Eres alguien que esta pensando en casarse antes de tiempo?
JJ. Aunque este año he estado pensado en que me quiero casar pronto. porque mis padres son mas mayores, siento que si no me caso pronto estoy siendo ingrato con mis padres. Pero mis hermanas me han dicho que mi vida es importante. De todos modos el matrimonio no es algo que va a suceder solo porque yo lo deseo.
9. Are there plans for you to take part in the soundtrack of this drama?
JJ: It hasn’t been determined yet. I think they are in the process of making the music but nothing has been produced yet. It’s a issue that will be decided on after the music is created.

JJ: I’m not saying that we should be put before doctors (in response to the reporter’s question of why they had their appearances on TV were blocked T/N:he seems to be referring directly to their “Good Morning” show being postponed) Broadcasting is the way that celebrities appeal to the public of their presence, but we have thrown this utmost important weapon and have continued to fight.
