JYJ 첫 앨범 동방신기 넘나
더 비기닝 벌써 9만9999세트 선주문 완료… 50만장 신기록 도전
그룹 JYJ가 앨범 판매 신기록에 도전한다.
JYJ는 10월12일 첫 글로벌 앨범 <더 비기닝>을 발표한다. 동방신기 출신의 믹키유천 영웅재중 시아준수 등이 팀을 이룬 만큼 앨범 시장도 큰 파장을 예고하고 있다.
세 멤버가 몸담았던 동방신기는 2008년 4집 <미로틱>으로 50만 장(소속사 집계)을 기록하며 앨범 판매 기록의 새로운 이정표를 세웠다. 오프라인 앨범 시장이 고사상태에 빠진 상태에서 거둔 성과라 업계의 충격은 컸다.
<더 비기닝>은 이들이 2년 만에 발표하는 정규 앨범이라는 점에서 가공할 폭발력을 보일 것으로 보인다. 이미 9만9,999세트로 한정 판매될 럭셔리 패키지는 선주문이 완료된 상태. 단 하루만에 10만장을 팔아치울 기세다. 여기에 발매 2주전인 현재 노멀 패키지 역시 5만장 이상 선주문이 들어온 상태라 업계의 놀라움은 더욱 커지고 있다.
관심을 끄는 대목은 이번 앨범이 월드와이드로 발매된다는 점이다. 업계는 이들이 몸담았던 동방신기가 2008년과 2009년 전세계에서 가장 큰 공식 팬클럽을 가진 그룹으로 기네스북에 올랐던 만큼 세계 각지에서 판매되는 앨범량도 상당할 것으로 예상하고 있다. 특히 팬덤이 강력한 일본 중국 등지에서 대규모 물량 주문이 이어지고 있어 50만장의 기록을 훌쩍 뛰어넘을 것으로 내다보고 있다.

TVXQ's previous album 'Mirotic', released in 2008 sold a record-breaking 500,000 copies, yet it is likely that that this record will be broken with the release of the trio's new album.
